Virtual Assistant versus Temporary Clerical Support

When you hire a temp. through an agency there is no guarantee that you will get the same temp. every time.

You don't get to interview the temp. before he/she arrives at your office to start the work.

The skills and experience may differ a great deal between temps. One week you might get a great temp.  that catches on quickly and follows directions and has great attention to detail.  The next week you may get a temp. who cannot catch on, doesn't follow directions and has NO attention to detail.

When You Hire a Virtual Assistant he/she gets to know your business. How you like things done! Overtime a Virtual Assistant can become a great sounding board to bounce ideas off of for the business or marketing.

When you hire a temp. you need a desk, an additional computer and workspace.

When you hire a Virtual Assistant, they work from their own office. You don't need to provide a desk, a computer, or workspace

When a temp is hired to do work a minimum amount of hours is usually required to be paid no matter how much or how little work there is to do.

With a Virtual Assistant you only pay for the time that is spent on your project. You do not pay for time that is spent sitting around when there is no work to do.
